It's not only a sunny day adventure, we had some of rain and clouds which we drove through with smile each time new landscape appeared.Alpine road took us just under Grossglockner presenting greater views around each corner and with each meter taken up and down.

Beautiful 2 days hike to the top. Day 1: Lucknerhause to Studlhutte (2800m). Day 2: going to the top (3798m) via Erzherzog Johann Hütte. Took around 4hours, in beautiful weather, round trip 8 hours from Studlhutte. Of course with the guide.

We went with my wife for a trip around the mountains... such an amzing place to be! We visited many places around the world but the views over there were simply breathtaking... we would strongly recommend to take a trip over there!

Allow a full day to explore this lovely mountain, there are great panoramic views all along the road, available parking slots where one can stop to take photos or just to have a walk or a snack. Weather can change quickly here so take layers...More

Have been to Grossglockner several times, sad to see the ice flow disappearing but stunning scenery all the way no matter which way you approach from.

Hi, If you have a rental you can drive yourself. The entry on thw alpine road cost €36 and you can drive whole day long and stop anywhere you wish to. With a bus you do not have this freedom cause if stops only on some... More
