Found this memorial when i googled places of interest. As a Beatles fan and since our hotel in Mariapfarr is only about 20 minutes drive, we decided to visit the place. On our way back, we found the statue of the Beatles on the sidewalk right in front of Hotel Edelweiss where the Beatles stayed during the filming of Help. A must see for all Beatles fans.

There are actually two monuments that celebrate Beatles' visit to Obertauern, both of them unveiled in 2015.
One of them is located on top of a slope. It's also visible from the road for those who look to the right direction at the right time.
The second one is in front of the Edelweiss hotel, which accommodated the band back in 1965 during the shooting of Help.
It's nice to see them.

Obertauern is keen to share its connection with The Beatles, who visited the village in 1965 to film the skiing sequences in the film "Help!". There are memorials and photographs all over the place. The Edelweiss Hotel erected the Beatles Memorial because the boys stayed there, a good idea except that they all look the same. A good place to take a photo though!

Definitely worth seeing as gave us such a laugh as apart from McCartney none of the other statues looked like the other Beatles! We spent 10 minutes trying to work out who was who. Ringo we worked out simply because he was the shortest. Lennon and Harrison were a toss up. Don't think their mothers would have recognised them even. But definitely worth seeing!

I was in Obertauern and met there John, Paul, George and Ringo Starr..there were just not speaking much to me :))) The statue at the main road in front of the hotel Edelweiss is because in 60ties the Beatles made their famous movie Help here.

A super tribute next to the pavement in Obertauern. Lots of people stop to take photos and the bilingual signs on the wall behind are good.

Like the new addition on-piste of the statue trubute to The Beatles. There used to be a window dusplay of Beatles memorabilia in the windows of Hotel Marrietta... which has moved to a new location we guess. There are Beatles tributes and celebrations scheduled for the coming season & year.

this is at the top of the main drag lift where you get your ski passes so you cant miss it. the anniversary of the boys coming to obertauern happened a few years ago and clearly they make a big thing about it and why not. its great to see the memorial piece on the slopes.
