Lovely parish church in the pretty town of Villach. The bell tower is a must if you can make it up the 240 steps! It's not a continuous climb, so there are chances to rest along the way. Worth it for the views once you...More

Very old church in Villach Austria. In the center of the city. Even a statue of the Saint of Firefighters. One of the Dream and his life. Some of the old kings. They all look real. Good location for eating and shopping. You can also...More

Just in the center of town this is a delight for fond of architecture.Free entrance. That's pity, the bell tower was closed , with 240 steps overlooking the town and river. Beatiful Christmas' lights covered it . A waterfall of light

Late gothic church not so big but having a very peculiar ceiling. On sunday morning during celebrations you can hear a really good pipe organ, powerful and well maintained. There are also concerts in spring and summer in the evenings. Very easy to reach by...More

The church is nice, to me the most interesting in town. But the highlite of visit was the view from the church bell! A must thing to do in Villach - or Beljak, what the town is called in Slovene language.

The signature church in the heart of the city. Walking distance from the bus/train station. It is worth to visit since they are not charging any entrance fees.

A pretty little church in the center of Villach. It's not really a grand medieval cathedral, so there's not much to write home about here, but if you're passing by, then take a picture as a reminder of your visit to Villach.

I had a very unimpressive day trip to Villach in uncomfortably humid weather. The best thing I did there was go up the St Jakob steeple for €2 ( free if I had a Kärntner card ). One of the easiest tall climbs to do...More

We're a family of 3 history buffs who spent 5 days with Villach as a base for visiting Roman sites, medieval villages and churches. We had a private driver from European Focus Tours who skillfully navigated steep valley roads to get to out of the...More
