truly amazing place, the view is spectacular and relaxing, very nice walk by the lake with lots of shops, restaurants and coffee shops

We visited the lake in August, and regretted the decision. Parking is very difficult around the lake and costly at times. There is a free car park in Kammer Am Attersee next to the police station, but get there early it gets full quickly. Compared...More

This was a huge surprise to us. What a gorgeous area. Views of the Alps were unreal and churches, restaurants and shopping were a blast.

It's a huge 25 kms long lake with great views of the mountains and one can just walk around or swim in the lake. Views are breathtaking.

We took a boat trip from St. Wolfgang admiring beautiful villages, breathtaking Alpine mountains, and crystal clear waters. The area is well known for hiking, repelling, and sailing. We were lucky because there was snow on the mountains and the cherry trees had bloomed

A very nice and peaceful place to relax. If you walk around the old town in Hallstatt and go up to the church you will have a lovely view over the lake. Choose the early morning, as it get crowded by the tourist at noon.

Visited on a free day of a coach trip. Took a 2 1/2 hour boat trip to the south end of the lake and the views were superb.

it was beautiful lake with water activities like boating, kayaking ,etc. it was scenic.there are restaurant and the entire town is around the lake. the parking is difficult thing to find but they have parking which are 15-20 min walk.
