A small, but interesting museum. Good collection of lesser works by European modern artists. I think a significant part of their collection is works collected by an Austrian patron during the Nazi years, when much modern art was considered degenerate. Though I wonder about whether the patron was taking advantage of, or supporting, the artists, this aspect is interesting to consider. I don't think that this museum is worth a trip to Linz, but it is worth an hour or two if one is in Linz.

The building is quite nice, on the Danube and an easy walk from downtown.

I enjoyed the exhibits in the Kundtmuseum’s permanent collection. There are some interesting works by Klee, Schiele and Klimt. It’s a nice way to spend an hour or more.

Our boat parked opposite the museum on the wide Danube.

Initially I thought it was a hotel.

Of an evening it gave us a wonderful light display.

In the morning we decided to investigate.

The modern art is fine and worth a look.

Thank you Lentos Team.

This museum has some impressive modern art. It doesn’t compare to the great museums of Vienna, but it is still impressive and worth seeing if you enjoy modern art. The setting is stunning also, and the building is quite beautiful at night as it is lit up against the water.

Our river ship was parked literally in front of this museum and so on our way back from the city center, we stopped in the lobby to see if there were any good items for sale in their gift shop. We were a bit tired and honestly didn't really want to take the effort to visit the art exhibits, but I often like museum gift shops as a source for fun things I often don't see just everywhere.

The building itself is stunning glass architectural chunk of a building that looks fantastic against the green river bank. While the offerings in the lobby gift shop were meager, I did love a black and silver plastic square pin that was a reproduction of a work by Andrea Rose Edler. Love it. Wear it a lot and think about that lovely day with a last minute unplanned shopping "score."

Located in a modern building next to the beautiful Donaupark, the museum is dedicated modern and contemporary art. The museum has a rich collection housed in a unique building shaped like a bridge supported on two huge pillars - one at each end. The pillars house the entrance, staircases, elevators and some temporary exhibitions while the span houses the main collection.

The museum is a great place to visit if you are interested in modern art but can be skipped otherwise.

This I is truly wonderful to look st. Some art has to be looked at sideways to get a sense of what the artist is trying to achieve. Some art looks like a bucket of paint had been thrown at the canvas. It’s all there at Lentos. Located across the Danube, the building it a modern rectangular glass structure raised about a story from ground level. Beautiful shinny building I am not really an art lover. But I fo admire good work when I see it. Leisurely stroll throughout the entire gallery both floors. Takes about two hours. There is a cafe below on the ground floor. Enjoy art in Linz at the Lentos,
Across the from the Ars Electronic Musem.

It was a beautiful day and we were walking around Linz and decided to give this place a try because 2 of the 5 of us were interested. What some people consider art is lost on me.
