The original statue is in Vienna. If you have not seen it there, of if you would like to see where it stood, it is worth a stop. But, check the opening times, as they are somewhat irregular.

Getting to Willendorf is easy by bus from the Krems bahnoff or by boat from the Krems dock. The small museum is very interesting in its interpretation of the Venus found here and others found elsewhere in Europe. The admission fee is quite modest. While...More
