Römertherme "Enjoyably combining bathing and healthcare - as the Romans did." About 20 km from Vienna and within walking distance of Josefsplatz (Baden railway terminus), the Römertherme in Baden provides approximately 3,500 m² of spa tradition with the Baden sulphur spring water and a modern spa environment. Feeling good, doing something good for body and soul - that is the philosophy of the Römertherme.

We visited Roemertherme for an afternoon while visiting Vienna. We almost cancelled our plan when we read several somewhat negative reviews here on TripAdvisor, but we are very happy that we visited this spa. We visited on a weekday, and while there were several small children, the spa was not too crowded. All of the facilities were very clean and... More

Römertherme is a very good place to relax. Each and every summer we do come back to this place. You can take a sunbath, and be in the pool at the same time. Inside you have a big pool for swimmers, but they have sauna, many place to lay down or just be in the pool and enjoy the bubbles... More

this is the only word COLD . Cold inside ,cold water, cold sauna ...cold cold cold . Large distance between entrance and parking can be a problem on departure when they are minus degrees outside . Definitely will not go.

Baden is a pleasant and quick trip from Vienna about half hour away. The town is small and easy to navigate with lots of charming parks, buildings, statues and fountains. I would not recommend this locale for a foodie. Our main reason for excursion was to visit the Roemertherme. The price was reasonable, about 18 Euros for 3 hours. The... More

We were a family with a small kid (1.7 years old) and really enjoyed our time there. The only downside is that or the signs are on German so if you dont speak the language you don't really know what are the baths and can't read the information.

Dont get me wrong this is not a bad palce to spend a weekend but it is not what you would expect. The place is small and has only a few pools which are not warm enough for a thermal bath.

The pool area is not as big as we had imagined it by seeing the pictures on the website. It has one semi-olympic pool with cool water and another large pool with lots of spa-like areas:underwater massage, whirlpools, bubbles and so on. There is also a very shallow mini-pool for small kids. Outside there are two small pools with warmer water -... More

OK it's not exactly a Roman bath but what a pleasure to sit in the outdoor pools in 26 degs all day sunshine like we did last Sunday. What a treat. The sulphur pool was most relaxing and the indoor jacuzzi rather nice. Became rather crowded but no doubt to such lovely weather. A nice walk around Baden town and... More

This became our new favourite location to spend relaxed evening. I went there with friends of mine (it was girls visit). Late visit each time from 18-22h. Each time, even though it was weekend (friday, saturday), I could swimm freely and use other facilities because it is a huge space inside, so don't feel if it's crouded. Very clean, comfortable....
