I took the cable car from Encamp and the 20 minute trip is beautiful. On the top you get a beautiful view and the food prices are fair. Although I don't ski it looked like a great place to do it.

This may not be the Alps in terms of 'chiq' but if you want good snow and reasonable prices its worth a go. Travelled by Andorra Bus, who are very reliable, from Toulouse flying from UK on flybe.com. Rented apartment of which there are plenty....More

We go every year end of Jan or Feb and the roads are always kept pretty clear as it's so busy.
