Fantastic church with very haunting architecture. Almost surreal. So quiet and respectful a true hidden gem and off the tourist trail.

Although a modern part has been added to the original Romanesque apse and bell tower, the mix is not too jarring. The interior - modern - is pleasant, with interesting stained glass.

Andorra has a basically catholic culture and has lots of churches some of which are used a lot others only very occasionally . Outside of the sanctuary of Meritxell this is probably the most important and is reasonably well used especially at feast times. Outside...More

Nothing spectacular! Inside has had a lot of restoration done to it so it is quite modern. Not many people when I visited so it was quite peaceful and quite. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it but you'll likely pass by...More

Probably I am being a bit picky here because the pórtico of this church is very pretty and special, I just don’t like how they have blended the most modern part as it looks like a pastiche. Even if you need to blend styles due...More

We walked around the old city and found this charming stone church. After that we had a lovely dinner at a near by restaurant. Lovely way to spend the day

We loved walking by and around the Esglesia de Sant Esteve, which was an old stone church designed with beautiful 13th century murals, stained glass windows and a bell tower. The church appeared all the more enchanting with the breathtaking mountains and scenery surrounding it...More

I stood on the porch at the side entrance to this stone church, watching a group of red-clad musicians below, playing instruments and beginning a march through the streets of Andorra la Vella. They were celebrating the arrival of Easter the next day. Many residents...More
