There are signs to the church and when we went you could park quite close with a short walk down.
They have some old baths which are interesting. In front of the church there are some mosaics and ruins but you can’t can close at all as the decking to walk on were closed.
We had to really look for St. Paul’s pillar and the sign explaining it was in the out of bounds section. The information boards were in a bit of a poor state and were really dirty. Walking up to the church there was faeces on the floor which one had to avoid. The church was lovely and peaceful.

We just felt it was a shame that it wasn’t looked after the way that many places in Cyprus are. For a place which is so magical and interesting I think it should be. Glad we came to see it though.

Massively neglected but potentially intriguing site. The expensive walkway is flagged as being unsafe and is shut so very little of the site is accessible. There is an almost total absence of signage. There is no sign to tell you when the church is open. The Hamman is in poor shape.

This site has received EU cash but it is unclear where the money has gone. Perhaps just on constructing the raised walkway ...... certainly not in setting this up as a place for tourists to want to visit.

The Pathos Authorities should be ashamed that this 2 millenium plus site is so neglected

10 min walk from the harbour is this pretty church which is built upon the ruins of other churches and there are some interesting mosaics outside the church.
There is a walkway over the ruins and mosaics with info boards describing what your seeing and the phases of construction/destruction but these were closed off so you couldn’t really see anything.
StPauls pillar is situated near the entrance gate.

A site not to be missed though walkways over ongoing excavation was closed for the two weeks we were there. Plenty of information on entry giving the long history of church and the people who made many changes over the centuries. We were able to get inside the existing church and although it's quite small it has beautiful features. Free entry and a chance to donate by the doorway.

The church itself is small but interesting. It seems to be used by Greek Orthodox, Anglican and RC communities. Unfortunately the walkways around the site are roped off without explanation. We saw some people just climb over and look around anyway but being in our seventies, walking with sticks and generally disinclined to go where one is being told not to, we just took photos from a distance where there are pillars and other such sculptures lying on the ground near one of the exits. There is virtually no information about the site at all and we were rather disappointed as it is not cared for as we had expected.

In the steps of the Apostle Paul who visited the island in AD 47.
This must be one of the oldest churches in Christendom. Well worth seeing.

I visit Cyprus on a regular basis and always try and attend an Anglican Service, you truly feel you are in the presence of the founders of our Christian heritage.

Please also see "Paul's Pillar" were it is said St Paul was scourged when he visited Cyprus in AD 47.

So much history here. Amazing mosaics from the old church. Ruins that are v impressive. Bits of buildings lying around the site. Sadly the church was shut. So were the walkways over the top of the mosaics so it was difficult to get the full effect. Needs some work to bring it back up to spec as an attraction.

I went to mass here and it was a beautiful experience. It is an archaeology site too and a must visit place. The Danish King died here in the year 1004 and is buried at the site. He was on his way to the Holy Land. St Paul was flogged but converted the man who punished him.

Agia Kyriaki do English services for both Catholic and C of E. On Sunday morning the C of E service is 8.15 and the Catholic service follows it. The services are in English. The huch itself is in the grounds of a ruined monastery and there are signs all around which tell you about the origins of the building etc. Well worth a visit. Hidden behind the old Debenhams building at the harbour. Opposite the bus station

I have visited this little church, ever since my first visit to Paphos in 2011. My father had just passed away, and I was able to light a candle in his memory. A beautiful tranquil place that brings me great comfort.
