Unesco heritage church near Salamiou and Pendalia.A beautiful country site.It is surrounded with mountains and a river. It is a very old building. It really worth visiting if you have a car. From Paphos is around 1h and you can also visit donkey far which is near or go to monaster of Salamiou a village near by.

Secluded spot of an old monastry. It is a very old site. The church is still in service and nice to spot into. What a praceful place in the no-where. In a valley close to a rocky river bench. Best walk there. Only a very dirt road for offroad drivers. Do it only as one of spot during a hiking trip.

March 2019 - Currently only accessible (by road) from E606 - 2 other roads cross the valley but the bridges and roads are incomplete!
Possible to walk in the valley floor but the river has moved to the eastern side and washed away the old trails.
Building is quiet and atmospheric having been rebuilt in the early '90's and the setting is tranquil for a picnic stop.
The old watermill nearby is worth a look as are any of the 4 others along this stretch of river valley.

Returning from Panagia Chrysorogiastissa monastery we took the turn from Pentalia village to visit the church of Panagia of Sintis. What followed was a really horrifying experience since the street signs did not gave a warning about the very dangerous steep road to the church. After holding our breath for eight kilometers of an unforgiving terrain we reached the church which really worth our ordeal. The place was beautiful and its glorious past hung in the air. Shame however since the place has been abandoned and the renovated rooms have been destroyed. Needless to mention that we could not return from the same road and they were virtually no signs from where to return to Limassol. Eventually by trial and error and through difficult terrain (again) we managed to reach home. I repeat that the church truly worth our ordeal.

A great place of excellent architecture. A monastery in the middle of nowhere. Worth the difficult trip on dirt roads. Make sure the place is open. We were there for a musical event of pafos 2017 supported by the surrounding communities. Magical,

Need 4 x 4 to visit but well worth it; not far from Salamiou with lovely scenery and hills behind. Used for music concerts.
