Well worth stopping as you walk passed, right on the road, look for the ribbons in the tree. If you go right down be careful of the last few steps, I ended up with a wet foot as the water was so still and clear.

Situated on the side of the road leading from Paphos Harbour to the old town, Ayia Solomonis Catacombs are fascinating. Easily spotted as outside is a tree with thousands of votive handkerchiefs and cloths tied to it. Down a steep and uneven set of stone...More

Signposted from the main road and free to visit. Quite steep to walk up to then uneven worn steps down into the catacombs. Good views of Paphos. Combine it with visiting St Paul's pillar and The Iden for a very interesting free sightseeing half day...More

Good place to pass an hour or so. if you wander about here and the nearby Fabrica Hill along with St Paul's pillar you will get a taste of Paphos of old, just a stones throw away from the modern

We were staying close by and heading towards the harbour. Saw lots of items tied to the tree, so went to investigate. We spent a good 15/20 minutes wondering around. The ground and stairs are uneven so take care. This is free to enter, and...More

On our latest visit we found this site had been fenced off. No indication of why. A pity, its well worth seeing.

walk around these catacomb's with lots of water in the 100 degree heat ... makes you think what went on here and it is really brought to life when you sit and think for a while

Thank you. We did find them last year. Also a large area being newly excavated behind some houses. Looking forward to seeing how they have got on when we return in October.
