Since we were in and on Archbishop Palace, Byzantine and other museum there went by statue. Ok, but only noted we went past, sorta like the farmer statue.

The huge bronze statue is very like thArchbishop if you remember him, take the path to the left and you will come to the entrance to a church. Keep going another few metres and you will find his tomb guarded by 2 soldiers,not for security...More

well worth the visit .incredible views. a must do day out if travelling to Cyprus. Marvellous architecture and the statue is stunning

The monument was move from it's original place to Archbishop Makarios III resting place up in the Troodos mountain near Kykkos Monastery, about 80 kilometers from Nicosia. Nice day trip to spent your day, with great view from the mountains and also the monastery it...More

Many better things to see... this is not worth it. Trust me, I am from Cyprus and has nothing to do with any political views, simply, plan it well... and for a reason.

Not sure about being in the correct place. But this bronze statue of Mgr Makarios is impressive. It is near the Mgr tomb.

The statue is nice, but the whole thing, statue and environment is better at the place where Makarios was burried, the "Throni of Panayia"=The throne of Virgin Mary near Kykko Monastery, on Troodos Mountain

If I recall, yes. (it was a while ago since I went :P ) It's 30 meters high and quite imposing.
