Wonderful old village in the hills of Cyprus. We stopped for lunch while on a tour of the ancient ruins (Kourion and Temple of Apollo) and the village was a highlight! Cobblestone streets, narrow alleys, cute shops and wonderful restaurants all await you. We shared several mezes, a couple kabobs and the local beer to wash it down all while... More

There are small streets and a lot of shops. The food is amazing and the church is worth a visit. You can even stay one night if possible. Compared to other villages very lively and huge. Worth a visit best highlight of Cyprus trip

Omodos has an attractive square and narrow lanes, containing up-market craft and food shops as well as restaurants. The monastery is worth visiting, but the frescoes in the main church appeared to be of a late period and heavily Western-influenced.

Any visitors to Cyprus who miss this village will have done themselves a disservice. Omados Village is small and quaint and filled with surprises. From hand made curios to modern jewelry, an ancient church that will astound you and delightful coffee shops. If you have time constraints, avoid the little 'Tavern' at the bottom of the street. You might not... More

Omodos is lovely - a mountain village with nice shops and eating places. It's famous for lace and wine. Sadly when went there were six bus loads of school kids from Limassol. Rowdy, rude, bumping into people and a nightmare for the shop keepers. The teachers were incapable or unwilling to control them. However when they went the village reverted... More

We came with our 3 year old girl. Passing through on a day trip to see kelefos bridge. The village is authentic and relitively known and civillized in a sea of tiny old villages. Nice people. Very clean and well maintained.
