Cyclops Cave is claimed to have been a hideout of the infamous Cyclop, a one-eyed giant who trapped Ulysses and his men, as they struggled to return from Troy to Ithaca, in Homer’s book, The Odyssey. You can enter this cave one side and exit another side.

As a well travelled couple we have found many places along the eastern coast of cyprus around aiya napa and protaras areas.

Cyclops caves is an excellent place for a lovely picture and a little bit of exploring.

There is a main cave which you can walk in. Im 6ft 2 so had to crouch down.

We had a wonder we had a pair of crocs on each (please dont judge) and i probably wouldnt wear anything less as the rocks are jagged and you could possibly slip out of a pair of flippy floppys.

You can park on top we had a buggy for the week but im sure a taxi would take you close by as it is an established land mark.

There is an easy route down to the caves and the shore.

It is a lovely place to go and visit and is ont of our now (show off landmarks) where we will be telling other people about it to go and visit, or showing friends when we bring them out here.

Would recommend

Cyclops Cave is one of Cape Greco’s great secrets. Superbly created and weathered by Mother Nature herself Cyclops is yet another Natural Wonder. Certainly well worth paying a visit and if you go in the Winter Months the peace and tranquil is in itself a wonder.

The place and the cave are really nice and interesting to visit. The cave is not big and is open from two ends.

It is not difficult to find and if you walk to there, as we did, you would enjoy an amazing walk great sea views and lots of hidden beaches.

Recommend it to enthusiasts. It is not a place for people who prefer the urban comfort.

the cave is not sign posted so well, although there are signs they seem vague. Once you find the cave I doubt that, like me, you will be impressed. Its not that large and its smelly. It is worth a swim just in front of it. dive off the rocks.

Cyclops Cave is good for exploring on foot or from the water (via scuba diving under/around it). The setting is beautiful, overlooking the sea, and sunsets are lovely here. It's also fun to walk around--and inside of--during the day.

The access road is probably not for rental cars, unless you rented an off-road vehicle. Park in the residential area and walk. If you want to drive all the way it is a bit tricky to find the entrance, as it looks like a service road - and starts of in the opposite direction about 1 km from the cave!
The cave itself is so-so, but the water is really nice! Not much beach (go to Konnors bay just down the coastline for that), but the underwater view is excellent! Be prepared for a climb down the cliff with your equipment. Not too steep, but if you dive with junior divers don't expect them to be able to carry their own equipment down and up.
Absolutely worth a visit.

Located at the Konnos Bay. 2.4km long walk, but worth it. Really nice walk near the sea. Definitely worth to see

First of all, this place is beautiful and wild. Therefore, it requires having some sun protection to have on and some comfortable footwear, since the ground is rocky and muddy. Moreover, if you are a diver, it is much more comfortable to have some cover (like blanket or something) to place your gear on it while you dress up, since the red mud is everywhere and you do not want it in your car for instance.
Secondly, I would really appreciate it if people tried not to litter so much! I consider all that garbage I bumped into while getting out of water to be a disaster! As well as that, it is a nightmare that the cave is so contaminated with all those plastic, warps, food leftovers... Please, people, be nice to the nature and take your litter with you.
Finally, there is no toilet on this particular spot (it matters if you are a diver, so you have to consider this).

We were up even before the Lark on this Sunday Morning at 0330 and arrived at the Cyclops Cave Area in good time to experience yet another of Mother Nature’s Wonders - Sunrise.
We sat patiently until MN was ready and at the stared across the Calm Mediterranean Sea up popped the first glimpse of the Yellow Fireball that we had come to see. Slowly slowly the Sun rise in sky to welcome in another lovely sunny day in paradise.
To experience the Sunrise is so special and well worth the forsaking of some sleep to realise just how great Mother Nature is whatever time of day it is.
