Liechtenstein is a small country surrounded by mountainous terrain, but it is famous for its stamps, so there is a museum like this. Some of the exhibits did not have English explanations, so I was unable to understand the details.
There is also a shop where stamp sheets by era are sold.

It was an interesting place to spend some time to see the development of postal services in Liechtenstein. In addition, they had old and new stamp issues of Liechtenstein well-arranged into packets on themes that would match the interests of collectors. The souvenir shop was offering souvenirs which were colourful and of quality. We were attracted to some them.

This Museum is very interesting for a country that is so steeped in postal stamps and history. However, even though it is free it would have been a much better visit if any attempt at providing English to help a large amount of visitors. Still worth a quick stop but not top on our list while in Liechtenstein.

I'm not especially a big fan of stamps, but this small museum in the heart of Vaduz really pushes the envelope. The reviews on here really promised good things, and the museum definitely delivered. If you're especially into stamps or the history of postage, you're guaranteed to enjoy it, but even I had a really first class time here. It definitely get my stamp of approval.

We went to Davuz from Chur, Switzerland by train and Post Bus in order to buy one each of the postage stamps in current use from the Post Office to add to my husband's collection but were delighted to find this Post Museum. Unfortunately we could not gain any information about anything as everything attached to the exhibits was only written in German. My husband was able to buy several special stamp collection sets but no current ones so we went to the Post Office. To our amazement, the Counter Assistant REFUSED TO SELL US ANY OF THE POSTAGE STAMP IN CURRENT USE. She said she did not have time for this which unbelievable as we were the only customers. We have never encountered this before in any city or country. I have sent letters to The Post Master and to His Serene Highness Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein asking them to explain this unusual policy of not selling stamps in the Post Office,

Postal Museum, Vaduj, Liechtenstein Country :-. This museum is very interesting and enjoyable place. Your hobby of collection of postal stamps can be grown by this museum.
It was founded in 1930 and opened in 1936. Afterwards, the museum had been relocated several times until it sits at its current building at English Building Art Space.

The museum exhibits postage stamps issued by Liechtenstein since 1912 and also the history of postal service of the country. The first stamps specific to Liechtenstein were issued on 1 February 1912. Although these honoured the reigning Johann II, Prince of Liechtenstein (1840–1929), they were still subject to Austrian mandate. Now Austria issues their own postal stamps. All types of postal stamps are sold here.

This postal museum is small but full of interesting things about the postal service in Liechtenstein. It is free to everyone so I suggest tourists should visit here if having time. For post stamp collectors it is a must visit site.
