This whole area has been updated since our last visit. Step off the bus and immediately walk across a large square featuring the Triton Fountain. From there walk across the wide bridge spanning the dry moat before entering Valetta City through the gate in the...More

The gate itself is nothing spectacular, but it gets you right into the heart of Valletta, which is beautiful and vibrant. A lot of construction work going on around the walls. Outside the gates is bus terminal of local buses where you can catch a...More

We got off of the bus at Valletta bus station and just followed the crowd. First stop was the fountain. I could have stayed for ages watching the water and chilling on the stone border. The gate is clean and a great landmark for your...More

Past the fountain is a gap in the city walls with a walkway. This is the city gate. Very underwhelming if it were not for the fountain before it and the buildings in front. I must be missing something!

Not just the city gate, the whole city is nice to walk around, a lot of interesting places to visit (art galleries, museums, historical buildings) and lots of cafes and restaurants. Very clean everywhere.
