The tour guide after the film show was so knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. She answered all the questions raised at the end of her tour and was a shining example of the best of Maltese people.

This audio visual film is very good at explaining the history and story of Malta through the ages. There are 17 languages available on the armrest controls for your headset, certainly plenty of options. The seats were quite comfortable, the picture quality was ok but maybe a bit dates presentation wise. well for us anyway. This is not really a criticism, just an observation.
We really enjoyed the tour of La Sacra Infermeria, our lady guide on the 4th of Nov tour show start at 1pm unfortunately forgot her name but she deserves a mention, really brought it to life and made it so relatable. Quite ahead of their time in certain methods, well as long as you were male? We also enjoyed the theatre part of the tour as it showed where it was, as we were to be there the next night at the Rockwired concert. In our opinion it is so worth a visit. A little tip if you have a Malta discount card it gave us a 50% off the entry, well worth it.

The video was informative however when purchasing the ticket we were not informed that the infirmary tours were not running today. This meant we paid 14 euros (each) for a 45 minute video. When the two staff on duty were asked about this they were very rude stating that we should have known from the price of the tickets, even though no price breakdown was displayed on the gate. When asked to speak to a manager I was informed that none were available.
The entire reason we visited was to visit the La Sacra Infermia so very disappointed. Problem could easily have been averted with a simple notice (stating no infirmary tours today) displayed at the gate in the currently empty frame.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to share your review.
We are so sorry to hear about the negative experience your encountered during your visit. Although we instructed our team to inform guests about the unavailability of the Sacra Infermeria Tour and offer a reduced rate of EUR 14 for the 45-minute documentary, it is clear that there was a miscommunication and it did not align with the level of service we strive to provide.
We take your feedback seriously, and we will look into the matter straight away. To express our sincere apologies, we would like to offer you 2 complimentary tickets for the Sacra Infermeria tour on any day and time of your choosing.
Please contact us on info@themaltaexperience.com to arrange the details.
We look forward to the opportunity to make amends.
Kind regards

Incredibly informative show - really brought all that I had learned on the trip together. I actually think that it would be good to go at the beginning of the trip and again at the end. We especially enjoyed the tour at the end - the tour guide was exceptional!

I really enjoyed this introductory film to the long amazing history of Malta. Yes the technology was older but it is impeccable maintained and really what has changed in 3 years compared with 7000 that are included here. Everyone can listen in their own language. Our guide for the hospital tour was a treasure. Some colleagues got an app driven tour and didn’t get half as much info as we did. A fascinating place on a fascinating town in a fascinating country!

Expensive documentary (18 EUR plus charges !!) of only 45 minutes. This is not a film but just photos and pictures. It has been existing since the early 1980's without any substantial changes. After the documentary a guided brief tour through an old hospital follows which is neither interesting.

Dear Guest,
We appreciate your feedback. As mentioned your Google Review, we're sorry to hear that you found the documentary expensive and outdated. Please note the price of EUR 18, apart from the 45-minute documentary, it also includes a 30 minute guided tour of the Sacra Infermeria, the hospital built by the Knight's of St John, justifying the price of EUR 18.
Your opinion however is valuable to us, and we will take it into consideration as we work to improve the experience.
Kind regards

Although the ticket price of € 18 may seem a bit hefty at first, this 45-minute film documentary gives you an ideal introduction to Malta's long history. A translation into a wide range of languages is available.
Included in the ticket price is a 30-minute live commented tour through what remains of the Sacra Infermeria, the Holy Infirmary of the Knights of St John. We found it an interesting bonus to see how ingenious people were when it came to medical care so many hundreds of years ago.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The audio-guides attached to seats offered a choice of 17 languages, which was the most I have ever seen. The film was interesting and well paced; giving enough information for everything to make sense, but without overloading.
The hospital tour was led by Anna, a very knowledgeable lady, with a great sense of humour. She really made the experience.

The Malta Experience was recommended to us as a "must do" by a Maltese friend. It did not disappoint!
The documentary film is narrated in multiple languages via headset, while the background music is played over the theater sound system.
The film covers thousands of years of history, with a focus on the "more recent" events of the 18th century.
The guided tour of the Holy Infirmary was well worth the additional cost. (18 Euros combined total/person)

If you want to know about the whole history of Malta from many years BC to now in one 45 minute audio visual this is for you. We absolutely loved it. We wanted to know more about the island after our visit. The AV is followed by an interesting tour of the hospital which forms part of the building. Our local guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about the working of the hospital.

wo kann ich parken, wenn ich The Malta Experience besuchen will?
Vielen Dank im Voraus

Am Experience selber besteht die Möglichkeit an der Straße zu parken. Oder in der Nähe vom Kreisverkehr am Experience. Bitte unbedingt darauf achten ob man bezahlen muss.

Good Afternoon! You need to contact the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) for help. They will be able to guide you. The Malta Experience is an audio visual show (a tourist attraction) not a tour agency. Feel free to visit us when you are in Valletta. We have wheelchair access. Best Regards, Emily Demajo - Operations Manager

If you are looking for wide sandy beaches then you will be disappointed. Most are small and stoney or off of rocks but the water is crystal clear.
Some hotels have small 'artificial' sandy beaches by which I mean they have brought the sand in to make a beach, they will be crowded.

It's open Sundays and is a good introduction to the Maltese Islands although it's now been overtaken by Malta 5D which is shorter (20 mins) but a much better experience. The great thing about the Malta Experience is the free visit to the hospital which is included. This hospital was built in the 1500s and you learn some amazing facts about how Malta was at the leading edge of medical innovation in the 1500s The hospital is no longer in use (it's now an event space), but seeing the largest hospital wing in Europe, ;earning how the knights recognised the benefits of en suite toilet facilities and a whole host of other facts, make it a fascinating, if little promoted excursion.
