Nice bay, Sunday market, colourful boats

Sunday market finishes by 2 pm...try get there before midday. It's a bit pricey. Lots of photo opportunities, beautiful colourful Maltese fishermen's boats. Nice on a sunny day

We planned a winter break this year and decided on five weeks in Marsaxlokk, a delightfully friendly fishing village, because we knew there would always be something going on. Even in winter this places is busy from morning till night, not with tourists, but with fishermen cleaning their nets, sorting the fish, painting their boats and, well, getting on with... More

Loved this cozy little village! You can get really nice fish for dinner here. Nice place to cool down after cliff jumping in St Peters pool.

This bay is beautiful, picturesque, charming, blah, blah,... which is only spoilt by the Sunday market. Therefore, 6 days a week it's certainly well worth a visit: Monday to Saturday. On Sunday, this place is best avoided, unless you are interested in buying the exact same cheap old crap you can buy back home from any similar market in the... More

Although it's not that far from Valletta as the crow flies, it's a good half hour ride by bus, but so worth doing! A charming and picturesque harbor, and we had one of the best meals in a long time at a restaurant called La Reggia.

Marsaxlokk Bay, it was a love at first sight. So beautiful, colourful, charming place......I really loved it. A lots of restaurants, delicious local food and wine. Kind people, unique own atmosphere, vivid fishing boats and blue sea - blue sky. Sundays are really busy & interesting because of the fish market. Even, аll this liveliness, pretty similar to the typical... More

Just a lovely little seaside village in Malta. I visited Marsaxlokk today as the markets were on which were great. Some nice photos were taken with the boats and harbour.

I remember the first time I laid eyes on Marsaxlokk bay! Wasn't ready for how bright, sunny and colourful it was! The luzzu fishing boats are so beautifully coloured in solid bright colours of blue, red, yellow and white! And they sit on a backdrop of beautiful blue sea and skies! You can enjoy freshly caught seafood at one of... More

I actually visited this twice once with friend and once on my own. This is a typical fishing village in Malta, and the harbour restaurants are superb with all the fish being as fresh as it could possibly be.
