It's a lovely area to walk around with so much to see. Super yachts and other boats in the harbour, nice restaurants with tables spilling out onto the pavements over looking Senglea - and more. Lovely as we were staying just up the road!

When you are walking in Birgu - one of the areas of interest is the waterfront.
It is a nice promenade - where you can find terraces , bars, restaurants but also some of the attractions from Birgu, the St. Lawrence church, the Maritime museum - closed when we were visiting - Fort San Angelo towards the Grand Harbor ...
So if you are looking for a place to stroll in Birgu - this can be one of those place where you can do it .
Also from the waterfront you can take the water-taxi to Valletta or a trip to see the Grand Harbor and the 3 Cities.
Definitely a place to check out when you are in Birgu

We arrived by boat from Valletta and were not disappointed. A beautiful town (city?) and full of lovely boats in the harbour.

What a lovely place to visit, the waterfront is beautiful and so is the whole town.

There are some lovely cobble stone streets, some wonderful monuments and nice churches.

Out tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a real onsite to the history of this beautiful town.

I would recommend a visit, as there is something for all.

Lovely area facing Valletta, reached either by ferry or bus.
Beautiful waterside walk, expensive flashy yachts, eating places, old church and historical buildings.
You can continue walking to Senglea by footbridge, another historical part.

The waterfront is really nice with various restaurants at reasonable prices. We used the little colourful boats to take us to Valletta on several occasions which are family run and have been serving visitors for many years including the British Navy and our very own King Charles as a child. 2 euro a trip well worth it.

You can walk around this waterfront and enjoy the contrast between luxury boats and cars, fancy restaurants and the old medieval city.

I lovely waterfront surrounded by restaurants and bars.
I would say that the Birgu side of waterfront was alot nicer than the Vittoriosa side as it seems better looked after.

Nice walk along the promenade. There’s a few restaurants where one can have lunch or simply a coffee with some cake.
The area is very historical too.
