    Visit for the Mosaics
The Basilica is striking from the outside and dominates the local area, being almost in the middle of nowhere. Churches, Cathedrals, Basilicas are not my interest by any stretch of the imagination and the inside - for which I made a few minutes visit - was unimpressive. The open courtyard and the mosaic dioramas there though, were spectacular. While all of religious themes not surprisingly, get up close to them to see the workmanship that's gone into them and then step back to look at the full picture. They are magnificent.

    Beautiful Church
When visiting Gozo, don't pass up a chance to visit Ta' Pinu. The church is extraordinary! The exterior of the church is amazing and the interior is equally beautiful. One can get to Ta' Pinu on the Gozo bus from Victoria. It's a short bus ride but well worth the time.

    Ta'Pinu Basilica
Caught bus 308 from Victoria bus station which stops outside the church. Very impressive both outside and in. You can confess your sins to a priest. Dress appropriately. Oddly nowhere onsite to buy drinks/snacks and the two blue toilets were in a horrific state. Spent 60 minutes here.

Landmark building with stunning modern mosaic wall
Visually stunning building from afar, we were glad we'd visited. We managed to time our visit between the end of mass and before the entrance of a large school party. The historical and religious significance of this shrine were perhaps somewhat lost on us, but the mosaics at the front of the church are stunning and well worth a visit.

Amazing place with beautiful stone carvings and mosaics
The Ta’Pinu shrine is truly amazing. The outside is very pretty with colourful mosaics. Inside the 92 years old church were some amazing stone carvings and beautiful arches. On some of the walls there were letters, items and clothes from people whose prayers have been answered. You don’t need to understand the letters, but the area makes you feel a bit different let’s say.

    Good Not Great
The exterior of the church has various murals that are quite impressive. The church itself looked very new and was pretty pedestrian looking on the inside, however. Not in the same league as the well known Valletta churches. It’s worth seeing but I wouldn’t consider it a β€œmust visit” sight.

Known as the Church of Miracles, it is one of the most beautiful churches in Malta. We went there during evening by bus, and the moment we reached there it was all lit up. You will feel so calm there as it is surrounded by nature. The frequency of public transport/bus of Gozo is not that great but if you are in Gozo you should not miss visiting this church.
It is a must visit!

I am not religious myself but can still appreciate the grandeur and importance of this place, Its easy to get to with the bus stopping literally outside and can be combined with a walk around the wider area. When I arrived mass was in full swing so I took the opportunity to explore the grounds until they came pouring out. Signs are in evidence asking visitors to dress respectfully yet I observed several Maltese ladies with large cleavages on display and short tight shorts. The inside is large and airy and decorated with a multitude of mosaics and statues. Whether you are religious or not the church is an important part of the local identity and so is worthy of both a visit and your respect.

People often pray to Our Lady of ta Pinu for her intersession with their own difficulties, very often physical or medical problems. Upon recovering they take token to the shrine and these are on display for all to see. Since your photo was taken there has been the addition of wonderful mosaics around the courtyard depicting the life of Christ.

This is one of the stopping places on the open-bus tours. The church/shrine looks all the more impressive because it has no other buildings nearby, only grassland and the local agave plants (which live for 10/20 years or so, flower once and then die). The sap is used to make tequila in other countries but not here. The church is decorative and well worth a visit. Outside are some well-painted murals of various saints.

We visited Ta Pinu during a day trip to Gozo. We felt the experience was slightly mixed. We hopped off the bus about 10-15 minute walk away, although hot this was a very pleasant walk with gorgeous views out to sea, off Ta Pinu & up the hill which had sculptures all the way up.

Upon arriving the mosaics outside with hints of gold are beautiful. We then entered Ta Pinu, this is where the experience began to turn.

Passive aggressive signage upon entering asking people to be quiet and respectful feels slightly over the top - quote β€œespecially tour guides / groups”.

There is no bathroom in the main building. There are only 3 porta-loos in the car park. This would have been fine but there was no toilet roll, no hand soap and the hand sanitizer station in Ta Pinu was empty, under normal circumstances this would have been merely disappointing but given current conditions this felt unacceptable

This is well worth the short drive or bracing walk. It is a spectacular site with as much to see outside as inside. The mosaics, statues and memorials in the forecourt are beautiful. Once inside a calm (if warm) atmosphere pervades. The smooth, light stone, decorations and windows are really a sight to behold, The central altar and the Virgin Mary chapel are stunning.

Ta Pinu clearly holds a position on catholic faith and Maltese culture. The recent additions of stunning mosaics add to an already gorgeous setting, where a modestly decorated (by Maltese standards) church hides the rose of an ordained miracle.
The back rooms are the most important to stroll through: no matter your faith or belief, seeing the many hundreds of stories of those whose faith is concentrated and condensed on these walls is inspiring and touching.

This Basilica, in the middle of nowhere, is awe inspiring. Outside are mosaics featuring the life of Christ. The Basilica itself is beautiful, featuring Christ on the cruxifice in the centre. Opposite the church, across the road, is a pathway leading to the top of a hill, featuring statues of the Stations of the Cross. A must see when visiting Gozo.

Spectacular ceramic tile mosaics -- both religious and landscape. In a huge and spectacular front courtyard to the church. But the interior of the church is a disappointment after viewing the semi-circular mosaic walls. Not sure it was worth the drive, but once there we did truly appreciate the artistry involved.
