This is considered to be one of the top shrines in the Maltese islands. It is dedicated to Our Lady of Ta' Pinu. It has stunning architecture on the outside, even grander on the inside, because you can see how every individual stone has been laid, beside the carvings in the stone itself. At the moment they are upgrading the... More

My visit to Ta'Pinu proved to be an amazing overwhelming one! The evidence of miracles encased in the corridor walls made me cry with joy, the little xhapel, encased in the greater basilica took my breath away! And the constant procession of visitors spoke for itself. Most impressive was the lack of pushy sales people etc, people could buy religious souvenirs... More

An architectural masterpiece built in Gozo in the village of Gharb. It welcomes visitors to admire the splendid sculptures and craftsmanship of designs on the Maltese stone inside the church. We did not have the time to get up to the church but we could admire it from as far as the harbor. Perhaps on the second trip to Malta... More

Beautiful church dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption, located just outside of Gharb on the island of Gozo. Church was rebuilt in the 1920s in neo-romanesque style; design is simple and beautiful. Can be accessed by car, bus or the hop-on-hop-off sightseeing tour. Unfortunately work is being done on the outside at the moment but it is still possible... More

The moment you enter this church with devotion , you will feel peace in your heart. A must to visit when in Gozo. Some peace and serenity , away from the noisy and hectic everyday life.

This church has claims that the Virgin Mary has been heard here. Hence the nickname "the Church of Miracles'. Another example of the strong faith of the people of Gozo. The present church, built on the site of the ol was consecrated in 1932. Pope John Paul celebrated mas here in 1990. Your visit here will not disappoint.
