Lovely short walk from the castle. Would suggest trainers though as it can be slippy. We had an early lunch and then took a walk to the the Japanesse water garden before we checked in. The autumn colours were superb .

These gardens are a fantastic place to visit complete with its own waterfall truly worth a visit. Just a very short walk from the castle maybe unsuitable for people with walking difficulties as it has uneven path leading to it.

Came across the water gardens by chance (although realised afterwards they are well signposted). Lovely tranquil setting and well worth a visit whilst staying at Stobo Castle.

Excellent .Peaceful well designed gardens to relax and unwind. A quiet haven of beauty. I have visited at various times of year and the gardens are always a pleasure.

Worth a visit to see the waterfall and beautiful garden. I can only imagine how colourful it would be in the summer.

This is a lovely little garden in the grounds of #sostobo Stobo Castle. Drop in for a cup of tea while you are there. I promise you will become addicted to the spa treatments ;)

I think that the Japanese Gardens are for the guests of Stobo Castle. I am not aware that one can visit them separately. It may be best to contact Stobo Castle to ask.
