Not overcrowded. Good introduction to history of life in Iceland. Plan an hour unless you get too-expensive food in the cafe. Better choice than the Culture House.

The exhibits here chronicle the history of Iceland. It is very informative and I now have a new appreciation for the story of Iceland. One negative is that some of the exhibits are dimly lit and hard to see.

Students get a discount! Really cool museum with tons of great artifacts. Can easily spend an hour looking at all of the boats, horse-related items, ancient weapons, ect.

This museum presents an excellent review of Iceland's history, organized by time periods. It is easy to follow the exhibits in the correct order. The items on display illustrated the history very well. The various videos were excellent.

We were impressed with this great museum. Plan on about 2+ hours to do it justice. Take a break at their coffee shop. Museum admission $20 per person / $10 per senior 67 and over. Well worth the trip and the admission.
