Really appreciated the staging of the Viking history. With so many archaeological artifacts. It was very educational and gives a wonderful experience of the ninth century culture.

Access via bus stop; entrance fee ISK 2000 but inclusive with City Pass. Very comprehensive on different levels with lots of detail. Most impressive especially of the historical path

This is a place you should visit if you want to learn something about the history of Iceland, from Viking origins to recent times. There are also exhibits about volcanic activity in Iceland, glaciers etc. The Museum shop is very nice too,
