We visited Feb 14th 2023 . As it was in winter time, the botanical gardens were not in flower but I am certain it would have been really beautiful had we visited in the summer time.
We visited the farm there and met one of the farm cats, Luna, who loved a fuss and followed us round for quite a while. The farm itself consisted of a seal, cows and pigs, Icelandic horses, ducks etc. The restaurant was closed unfortunately which kind of put a downer on our visit as we had planned to spend a good few hours there but as there was no food, we had to leave sooner . There were also several rides which I think may have been seasonal as they were not in operation. We visited the skating rink which my son enjoyed , however the skates had seen better days and some of the clips didnt fasten so his feet hurt .

This was a very special oasis in the city - a lovely place to walk and enjoy the beauty of the landscaped area with flowers, trees and shrubs. It is a splendid place to walk and unwind; also a good place for photography.

This was a beautiful park-lots of flowers and a wall with moving water plus lovely landscaped grounds. There is a nice cafe onsite to get a meal, drink, or coffee. It truly was a gorgeous setting. The zoo is next door and my husband didn't want to go to the zoo, so he spent a few happy hours here taking photographs. And it's free to walk around!

Beautiful park- people are working on it still as of May 2022 but there are beautiful yellow flowers everywhere. 100% worth a walk through. There is art throughout the park- mainly statues of women. Beautiful with lots of walking and biking trails!

This is an enjoyable area to spend some time when you need a break. There is a parking lot with free parking, and the gardens are very nice and peaceful. They are next to the "zoo" and to a small amusement park. Great place for kids to run around!

Laugardalur is a wonderful park in the center of Reykjavík. It has lots of colourful flowers and plants and trees. Lots of ducks stay in the small lake. There are also remains of old Reykjavík there, where the women took the dirty laundry to clean them - which is where Laugardalur got its name from, Laugar comes from Þvottalaugar which means laundromat.

A good place to visit with young children. Not too far off main bus route though could be better signposted from bus stops. Only small, probably more to do there in the sprinv/summer but we enjoyed our visit.
