The Handknitting Association of Iceland was by far the best prices for the highest quality Icelandic wool goods. Most products there were also made domestically, while many of the offerings at large tourist shops are knit by machine outside of Iceland.

I picked up a lined wool jacket for those cool nights to keep out the chill and feel toasty. If you are looking for something in wool, you must stop here!

Do not make any hand knitted purchase, unless it's from here. Traditional patterns and authentic Iceland wool, as well as sheepskin.

This downtown Reykjavik shop, on the road to the church, offers a wide selection of stunning handmade, high quality Icelandic wool products. But, as with everything in Iceland, prices are very high.

They do and I did. And they will help you by email to pick colors if you're not sure and give you advice on issues that you may have with any patterns from the Lopi books.
