Iceland is a country NOT TO BE MISSED. It is one of the most advanced, peaceful , and beautiful countries in the world. Among the happiest and warmest people, and excellent food . Weather can be a little “iffy” but it’s not much worse than NYC.

Really no need to go out of your way to visit this house, as you cannot do that. You can only see the exteriors built in Norwegian style.
The house stands along the motorway on a big lawn, close to the Sun Voyager monument. It's famous for the Reagan-Gorbachev meeting held there.

Unable to go inside, but an interesting spot to see if on a walking tour, would not say that you have to head out of your eay to see it unless you have a particular interest in the cold war.

This house hosted the summit meeting between US President Reagan and Soviet General Secretary Gorbachev in 1986. It’s closed to the general public but you can walk around the outside of the building for free. There are a couple of signs with information about the house. I didn’t see any sign of the White Lady Ghost that legend has it haunting the house.

This place was the site of the 1986 Reagan Gorbachev summit. It is not open to the public but you can walk the grounds and read information about this historic event. Worth a photo stop.

We drove by this landmark on a bus. What an important part of our history! So close to the Sun Voyager sculpture too!

Built in 1909 as the residence of the French consul. Now an elegant location for official state functions. Not open to the public -- supposed to be spectacular inside. In 1986, it was the location for the Reagan-Gorbachev Summit.

Definite worth stopping to read posted information and consider what happened here Also beautiful setting looking over the bay and toward the mountains. Nice to see a fairly simple house used as the place for a historic and constructive meeting.
