Probably the best experience I had in Iceland. It was a very intimate learn experience and truly feel like I’m a way better cook because of it. The instructor held our hands through it just the right amount to make it not so stressful that you’re keeping track of all the courses. Her insight on cooking was amazing and she... More

A cooking class at Salt Eldhus was a planned activity during my recent "girl's trip" to Iceland. The class and lunch that followed were fabulous. The food was abundant, and we all learned a bit about Icelandic cuisine as well as cooking in general. Salt Eldhus is beautiful inside and the table setting was splendid. This was the perfect activity... More

I booked initially on a day when no one else signed up. Salt Eldhus reached out and suggested that I move my reservation to a day when others had already booked, rather than cancelling outright. Much appreciated. Since this was a day in early December, the menu was what mirrored a typical Icelandic holiday meal. We started with an arctic... More

What do you get for your husband's birthday when he is a certain age & doesn't need anything but loves to cook? Icelandic cooking school was perfect! We had an amazing experience with the loveliest people and the most delicious food imaginable! We especially loved the expanded understanding of the context of the ingredients and traditions and culture that influences... More

Found Salt Eldhus on line and decided to spend a few hours learning how to cook some incredibly fresh Icelandic fish. We had a great experience and appreciated the one on one attention from our instructor. We fixed Charr over a fennel apple salad, Cod over creamed celery root with a barley/veggie mixture. For dessert, Skyr mousse with a lovely... More

Salt Ephdus was absolutely perfect for my partner's 55's birthday. Our family (with twin 17 year olds and a 19 year old) went with another family (with a 17 and 20 year old) and Sirry made the evening so special. All of the kids were engaged and the food WE cooked was delicious! Highly, highly recommend this for a family... More

Nine of us celebrated a friends special birthday at SALT last night! It was an amazing experience. We wondered if taking a cooking class with no super experienced cooks would be a drag but it was just the opposite! We spilt into 4 groups and Sirry, the owner and amazing chef, set out 4 recipes with instructions and ingredients and... More

My 2 sisters and I went to Salt Eldhus. It was great! You get to cook a 4 course meal with a professional chef. I learned how to prepare and show the food. We got to eat the food one dish at a time. It was delicious and fun. We learned cooking tips and got to keep the recipes. This... More
