We love art museums. I have a degree in art. Everywhere we go, we go to art museums. But I really can't recommend going to this one. Its a very nice museum but... and there are too many buts to deal with here. Most, pretty...More

With only one full day in Reykjavik we had to select our stops wisely, so we only picked two museums to view on our day. The Reykjavik Art Museum seemed to be a grand name and so we felt perhaps we would see a broad...More

The museum is a repurposed factory or warehouse and features modern art. The building itself is interesting and worth seeing and going through. The primary exhibit when we visited was work by the Icelandic artist, Ragnar Kjartansson. The art included paintings, constructions, sculpture and videos....More

We happened upon a magnificent and stunning exhibition. The museum was cleared out for an eclectic showing of repetition art. It is modern and avant garde.
