The building was under construction while I was there, but you can still go to the top to see panoramic views of the city. Best of all- it is free in a very expensive city!

The Pearl has good views, but I wouldn't include it as must see location. The fine dining restaurant might be nice, but I did not eat there. The cafeteria is reasonable and there ia no charge to go out onto the viewing deck - which can get pretty windy on some days as it is open.

Stopped here on a bus trip around Reykjavik. Great panoramic views. Wifi in the building allowed us to FaceTime our kids to show them the city.

We walked here through the snow and it was beautiful and well worth the walk. Although the museum was closed (we didn't go for that) you could still go to the top observation deck and the cafe. The 360 views of the city were stunning. The park is huge and we only covered a small portion of it, but walking... More

In the morning, when still dark and you drive by the coastal roundway, you see the lights on top of Perlan very often. Perlan is a construction that contains millions of liters of geothermal heated water, which is pumped into the city for heating. On top of these giant containers, there is this dome, which is a viewpoint, inside you... More

The inside of the Pearl is basically closed for construction right now. You can take an elevator to the top floor to walk around the (outdoor) observatory and take pictures of the city, which was great. The cafe was also open, but we didn't visit it.

We loved the view from the top! We got some great shots of the town and enjoyed some great deserts and coffee.

Very strange service, unqualified staff, management bad and tables were unclean. Not good selection. The only good thing is the view.

I can't speak for the cafe or anything inside the Perlan, but the observation deck (Free to enter) offers some incredible views of Reykjavik and with the Snow peaked mountains in the background this is worth a stop from anyone.

Visit to Perlan will bring great views of Reykjavik from the fourth floor observation deck. Gives you ability to see views 360 degrees around the city. Must see!
