The prettiest cathedral I have ever been to visit - while and bleached inside and green and white outside; situated in a side street not far from the main town thoroughfare and really, really well kept and well loved.

This is a lovely little church with nice decorations. It's nothing you have to go here especially for but if you pass the church go and take a look.

This church is compared to other Icelandic churches relatively standard, yet still different and impressive. If you stroll through Reykjaviks city centre, I recommend passing by since it's near city hall and a good place for a few quiet minutes.

This cathedral is more elaborate than the other churches we have seen in Iceland and yet far more simple than cathedrals in other countries we have visited. Worth a short stop

Located on the edge of the main square in Reykjavik, this small church acts as the Cathedral for Reykjavik. It is small and unassuming. Although well kept, there is really nothing that special about it. It is often looked so that you cannot view the interior.

It is a ultra church built with excellent taste. Using the minimum of décor can also be fascinating. We did not lucky enough to have heard the organ played, but it is quite imposing.

Less imposing than the more modern cathedral, but with far more history, this church is well worth a visit. Quite lovely in its simplicity.

Compared with the Hallgrim Church this old church is very small, but worth a stop to see how the place of worship looked like for the Icelanders.
