It was actually more scenic than the photo shows. There was a stream right below-at least it was there on 4/5/17-a cold and very windy day. There's a sign on the middle of the bridge so you can easily do your touristy thing of yourself and the sign. We were alone on this bitter day until a guy showed up... More

Nice place to visit, informative and great spot to take photos if the weather is good. If you visit Gunnuhver, this spot is near anyway, so why not? Actually we drove past it, because the bridge is not so visible from the road, but gladly we spotted it on our way back from Grindavik :)

Stop by if you're in the area of the Blue Lagoon or have no where else to go before heading to the airport (KEF). Its a good place for a photo op but pretty much a man-made bridge symbolizing connection between 2 continents.

Not a lot to see here, but it was very cool to see where the 2 continental plates were pulling apart. The day we were here was rainy, so we didn't spend too much time, I can imagine on a better day you could do a bit of exploring.

Unfortunatly there was 72km/h winds with pushes of 95km/h and rain. As you can imagine... we didt get out of the car 😂 There was actually somebody running to the bridge to take pictures and on his run back he almost flew of the path a few times. Maybe next time 😅

By all views, it look incredibly boring. Honestly, it's just a bridge over a ditch of black/gray rock and debris. However, when you think about it more and realize that you'll probably never again walk over a crack in the earth's mantle, you gotta go. If you're already on this part of the peninsula, you should stop and take a... More

We stopped at this attraction on our way back to the airport. It is worth a visit. There is a small car park and a short walk to the attraction.

You can see the rift all the way to the sea! Great photo spot and fun to walk from one continental shelf to another in a few seconds!
