A surreal experience, but like many things in Iceland it is presented well and in a very matter of fact way. Everyone seemed to be carefully reading the labels to see whether the appendage that they were staring at came from a blue whale, dog, or shrew (to be fair you could tell which was which from those three quite... My friend and I had some fun here, seriously you can't help laugh at some exhibitions & cringe at others. I never thought I would get up close & personal with a Sperm Whale let alone his 'bit'! My friend & I thought it was worth a visit, we communicated with strangers there who shared thoughts with each other.

Small exhibit but good giggle and there are over 200 specimens to see. You can take pictures when you are inside, my son aged 10 years enjoyed this museum. There are no human samples here!!

This is quite a small museum, but they've packed in a lot! There's a good range of specimens, I'd advise using the free Gide which gives a bit more information on each specimen.

We had a very enjoyable visit to the museum. It is such a kooky and unusual place and the is only one penis museum in the world. Lots of giggles were had throughout our visit, but that's not to say it wasn't informative and we definitely felt that we had a much broader knowledge of the world of phalluses!

Funny, but interesting little place. Stumbled upon as my hostel was across the street. Nothing fancy, just a big room with lots of - well, you know! They did have a lot of information and different types of displays.

I think it's really important to understand what you're in for if you're going to go here. We had a lot of fun and a good giggle at the penis related humour and artifacts, we particularly enjoyed the mythological creatures section. It's not especially educational and it's also not massively cheap (about £10pp). We heard some people muttering about people... More

A very weird but interesting visit, everything from Whale penis to Merman penis, even one specimen from a human! Good way to kill an hour.
