We did the Silfra snorkeling tour which was absolutely amazing!! I was concerned that we were going to get soaking wet and would be completely freezing. They provided a wet suit that you put on over your clothes. No need to wear a bathing suit....More

Dear CRetherford2015, Thank you very much for this review, we are very happy to have received it! Tight and warm base layers are absolutely important to bring with you on this tour, as well as a change of clothes - a bathing suit is not...More

Our dive in Silfra today was AMAZING!!! Our guide Christina took time to explain the history of the site, and give us a tour around the surface before the dive briefing. The dive itself was unbelievable, and we were in safe hands. Never rushed and...More

I would highly recommend Ron from Scuba Iceland. They helped us put all the gear on and Ron gave clear direction about the dive and hand signals. He made sure all our gear was worked by properly before we dove in for a smooth dive....More

I snorkelled in October 2016 (tripadvisor only allowed me to choose up a Nov 2016) with Richard as our guide who was unhelpful and disorganized. It was a small group of 8 pax consisting of a lovely family of 4 (parents and 2 daughters), 1...More

Dove the Silfra fissure just yesterday (9/28/2017) and it was absolutely and amazing experience. Nick, the dive master, was a great guy to work with, and gave me a lot of help and pointers to help me get more stable in the dry suit (which...More

This was one of the best things we did in Iceland. With 100m visibility the snorkelling was amazing. Very professionally run outfit - they assist you in and out of the dry suits and ensure you are comfortable. We had Eigor (hope I'm spelling that...More

Fantastic group to work with and the instructor was calm, supportive, informative, and experienced. My girlfriend and I chose to train and then dive in the 2-day package. Rebecca Kent was fantastic; she took the time to go through all of the critical aspects of...More

I've snorkeld all over the world and this was a unique experience. I think we spent a little too much time waiting around and doing nothing. I wasn't the only one in my group that felt this way. Slightly disorganized.

I recently visited Iceland. With some trepidation, we booked a snorkeling tour at Silfra. Snorkeling in the near Arctic?! If you want to do something slightly different and experience one of Iceland's wonders try this. We booked with Scuba Iceland. The guides Gary, later joined...More

We had an amazing time with this company. The teens did the snorkeling and my husband and I the scuba diving. You must be PADI certified and dry suit certified. The suits provided were plenty warm with a thin thermal layer underneath. Your hands face...More

Yes, it's a bunch of rocks, but this might be the only place on earth you'll ever get to which can boast both the water quality, the topography, and the culture. I think it's unmissable.

Hi there Alex, the snorkeling is more like a half day event. It doesn't require any drysuit certification, that is only for the diving and the price is set in ISK due to the change in currency. At this moment about 163... More

No, unfortunately, it's a 2-day thing. But completely worth it! And you get more than one dive and also get to dive in the stunning Kleifarvatn lake.
