Unless you drive in Iceland, the most comfortable way to visit this place is to join the Golden Circle Tour that will take you to this attraction where you can view the specitacular wonder of nature even in the cold winter. THis is a place not to miss in Iceland.

Beautiful sight and not a long walk from carport although there is a few stairs to tackle and some areas were not accessible in January due to iceland. Go early to miss crowds as bus trips do go there which means you have to wait you turn to take photos

We went to see the Geysir's as part of the Golden Circle Tour. It is amazing to view something as spectacular as this natural wonder. It really puts into perspective how irrelevant we are as humans compared with the natural world. There are walkways that keep people safe from the boiling water and steam but this doesn't take away from... More

Went to the geysir after the waterfall. It was quite overcast and with the steam from the geysirs quite eerie. The main geysir is impressive although you have to stand in the right wind direction! You need to be prepared with the camera as it erupts so suddenly. It is well worth seeing.

Tour to Geysir which erupts about every minutes and shoots up approx. 1000 feet, most impressive but keep upwind or get wet. onward to Gulfoss which is also worth a visit, to get the best view will mean going down and up steps,(not brilliant when it is icy).

if you only have a few hours to spare. It was quite rushed, but there company warn that to be the case. However if you only have a short time it is definitely worth doing.

This was an 8 hour tour of some of the varied sights Iceland has to offer. By far the most impressive was Gullfoss. The fast flowing, raging waters dropping over 70 metres were mesmeric. Geysir was less so but as it was raining heavily at the time and my patience was wearing thin I was less inclined to stand for... More

My daughter and I drove out to the Geysir site. It is about an 90-120 minute drive from Rejkjavik. You can walk right up to the crater and watch the water spin, bubble and then burst up 10-15 feet. Great spot for a picture and to experience Mother Nature at her best!

This was a nice trip to get to see the Geysier and Gullfoss waterfall. It was listed as one of the main attractions in Iceland and I do think it was worth it! Wrap up warm if you go in winter and wear good boots/shoes, there was icy areas.

A short stop here to appreciate the magnificent geyser. It erupts approximately every 5-8 minutes with some jets being more impressive than others. You can walk around and look at the different pools and landscapes. The water gets to around 80-100 degrees centigrade but a cup of tea from here would not be for you! You can smell the sulphur...
