Saw this on the free walking tour with “follow me iceland” and it was pretty cool! Great view of everything, really good beer and scene!

We at the last minutes decided to contact the brewery to set up a tour and we are so glad that we did. The staff members were so kind and welcoming and the tour was very unique to get to do since it was just us. Honestly one of our favorite places we visited

We discovered it is kind of difficult to pin point the breweries around Iceland. Given their history with beer and alcohol, most people we asked had no idea which way to point us. On our way out of Reykjavik we finally found Aegisgardur and decided to see if they were open. (They are located in a nondescript warehouse style building on the pier. Street name is Eyjarslod)). We discovered right now they are more of an event space but will be starting a taproom/tasting room soon. Stopped in and got to me Ólafur, the Brewmaster. He was so nice and gave us a lot of helpful information. My husband got to try his beer. Well worth it! I had to sit the tasting out, being pregnant.

The place is no longer open to tourists. A friendly member of the staff gave advice about things to see and do in the area. Unfortunately, there is nothing to see at the site.
