About
The GeoSea sea baths enable you to enjoy nature in a unique manner. Thanks to the underground heat, the seawater in the baths is warm and comfortable and the mineral-rich water will caress your skin. While the warm sea works its miracles, you can enjoy the view of the mountain range to the west, Skjalfandi Bay beneath the cliffs and the Arctic Circle itself on the horizon.

Can not recomend.
Dressing rooms are very small, only 6 showers and 2 toilets for 80 persons in the woman dressing room. There where no empty closets so people had to share.
The floor was dirty and no staff member inside the dressing room.
I had a 7 month old with me and this is no plase for kids. Only one baby chair and no changing table!

It was way to crowded!!

So we wanted to do at least one spa day during our Iceland ring road adventure. We wanted somewhere different as everyone does Blue Lagoon. Husavik is a beautiful town (an hour off ring road) which I strongly suggest you all visit. I had made a reservation and paid weeks earlier but a day before I could not find the confirmation. I had left a message the night before and they called me the next day to rebook my reservation. The night of our reservation was heavy fog (actually met a couple on our flight home who were suppose to go that night but they cancelled because of the weather) When we came upon the spa it was gently hidden in the hill, one of the nicest designs for a building I had ever came across. Upon entry we were warmly greeted and reminded YOU MUST SHOWER. No needs for carrying a lock or wallet as the wristband they give you does both. Two notes for an extra 10 dollars you can get your phone waterproofed. Bring your own towels and you save 10 bucks. The showers and locker facilities were fantastic, the shampoo and soap they provide is wonderful ( You can buy upon leaving but crazy expensive) Upon entering the pool area you have two beautiful infinity pools to enjoy the water , With the fog the glow of the nearby famous lighthouse was even more romantic and breathtaking. The bar itself was fair priced for Iceland. We loved every moment here

This was our first experience in hot springs dip with ocean view. Very amazing and relaxing. The Geo sea thermal pool is well maintained and the bathrooms, locker areas, showers are very spacious and good. They have 4 different level temperature of thermal baths, from 36-40 degrees celsius. They mix 50% of fresh sea water and 50% of hotsprings. So you really get the best mix and its very relaxing.
If you are in Husavik town for whale watching, keep free hours (min. 2hours) to dip in this beautiful lagoon. Its not much crowded and bit lesser in price than blue lagoon, Reykjavik, the most known thermal bath of Iceland. The price for an adult is 5400 isk..(icelandic kroner).
If you use Northsailing tours for whale watching they give discounts for Geosea and Gamli Baukar restaurants.

My new favorite hot pool in Iceland! The view is amazing, on a clear day you can see the mountains from the fjord, watch boats going on whale watching tours, or watch the birds fly past on the cliff. The water is hot to very hot, and there is also a steam bath. The only downside was that there are only 3 individual pools, and they are rather small compared to Blue Lagoon or Myvatn. The facilities are very clean and the staff is nice and helpful. There is even a selection of drinks available for purchase in the pool, but the prices are of course a bit steep.

Despite the price and the size, I fully recommend this infinity pool experience! Absolutely worth the trip to Husavik.

Our slot was booked for late lunch time but they very kindly let us in as soon as they opened at midday. Very accommodating and made us feel welcome.
Changing rooms clean, showers are open (no doors) but all confined within the women’s section. Lockers confused us but missed the signs showing you what to do (push the door to, swipe your bracelet on main control pad and it seals with the locker number display)

Pools were actually much much cleaner than my other review (different region) and felt more cared for. The heated water by the bar was lovely. Views are lovely over the ocean and bay.

The day was really windy, quite cold, but we stayed for about 90 minutes of so, only leaving because we had a boat tour. Could have stayed another half hour or so.
Did start to get busy after 1pm with family groups and couples.

An enjoyable experience.

After a full day of travelling on what was our first full day in Iceland we ended up in Husavik and booked in to GeoSea, it was our first hot pool experience in Iceland and later did the Sky and Blue Lagoons, but Husavik was special as it was our first.
The only issue was ours in that we had to get back to our accommodation in Akureyri so couldn't spend as much time as we would have liked. To soak in the thermal salt water and watch the sun slowly go down was an amazing thing.

This was the 3rd location on our trip.

Views were pretty nice during the evening and overall, the maintenance effort was there. We also went during a weekday, so it wasn't crowded. However, I did find the locker room be a bit small and there was only one private changing room. There were also only a few shower heads and it was pretty disappointing that a recently built facility couldn't have thought about at least putting a few private shower stalls in. Having some kind of privacy during showering would have made the experience better, especially if it gets crowded. They did offer a complementary drink and it was nice to be able to not really have any restriction to what I could get.

What I liked about this place was that it seemed very upscale but wasn't pretentious or costly. The view from the negative-edge pool made us feel as if we were in a magazine shoot, with the mountains and the ocean. I was dealing with an ankle injury and wearing a boot, but they have a seat in the shower area so I could sit down to wash, and once out near the pools, I could take off the boot and get right into the water. Compared to some of the other baths people in our group went to, this was the best and we would rate it the highest. It was also NOT crowded.

What an experience! The weather wasn't great, but it didn't really matter. The water is warm and the view is amazing.
After you receive your wristband, you enter the dressing room area and remove your shoes and socks before entering the locker room.
Find an open locker and hang your clothes in it (but keep your towel with you). Close the door and scan your wristband to lock the locker and assign it to you. Take a shower (naked), put your bathing suit on and enjoy!
There is a swim-to bar for drinks, with alcohol free options if you're driving. Be sure not to drink and drive in Iceland.

Wonderful , just wonderful.
A great way to break up the long drives around the island.

End your day of travel and sight seeing at this cliff side thermal bath.
The view out to the ocean and fjord is breathtaking.
It is more adult oriented though children are welcome.

The place is immaculate, well organized and there is no crush of tourists, visited by locals, even thought the town has a smaller local bath.
It can be quite windy so consider bringing a light bathrobe or renting one from the staff.

The waters are warm, crystal clear.
You wont regret it.
