One of the highlights of our trip. We drove up from Reykjavik, stayed in the Fosshotel (Glacier) and then visited the lagoon in the morning and then drove back with stop offs on the way. The staff at the Ice Lagoon trip were really great...More

Great tour of the lagoon on amphibian boat that fit about 20-30 people. We had wanted to do the Zodiac tour which allows for smaller groups and goes more closely up to the icebergs but it was too pricey and sold out. Glad we stuck...More

The zodiac takes you across the lake and up close to the glacier. Thrilling! The guides are knowledgeable and safety conscious. You wear warm suits but a hat and gloves are essential.

We went on the Zodiac boat tour over the duck boat and it was definitely worth it. Our speed boat was much smaller and could get closer to the glaciers. The afternoon we went quickly turned gray and cold, but our amazing guide, Steini, assured...More

Amazing experience being this close to icebergs and hearing about the glacier's history. Absolutely recommend this instead of the bigger tours. Small groups and great guides. Good value

This tour allows you to get close to the glacier and floating icebergs. We saw calving, and the guide was very informative. The ride was smooth and the trip was well organized. It is a definite must for visiting the glacier lagoon...Jökulsárlón!

Even though it was raining a bit for our trip the experience was amazing. The Zodiac boat is the way to go - it gets you really up close and personal with the glacier. The other boats don't. Definitely a trip highlight!

It is possible that the camera could get wet as the boat travels quickly. But if you are sensible and only take photographs when the boat is stationary or travelling slowly there should be no problem.

You can book a boat ride from the 15th May onward but only if it's on the Amphibian which doesn't get so close to the glacier. The Zodiac tours start on 1June but you have all the info if you go to the site of the icelagoon.
