The photos make this apartment look amazing, photos must have been taken years ago. Apartment 13 is run down, curtains thread bare, with tears and holes. Lightbulbs in kitchen were burned out. Shower is moldy in the corners and very slippery, there is no shower mat or anti-slip on shower floor. Our room had no closet or hooks or places to put our clothes. We had to unpack and keep our clothes in the living room and community cabinet. Room was so small only the 2 small twin beds fit. Outdoor spa was filthy, and upon opening the lid a slug was inside. One bath towel was provided for the week, no washcloths, and some pillows did not even have a pillowcase on them, and upon asking for a pillowcase we were told there aren't any more! We were very, very disappointed and the landlord/owner did nothing to improve the situation. Horrible apartment!

Knarrarberg in Akureyri is a beautiful retreat and yoga center. They hosted our event in early August of 2022 at their beautiful place on the hill overlooking the bay and mountains near the city.

Our comfort was seen to at ever turn, and it felt like home away from home. The facility was perfect for our group of 40+ people, and yet cozy to be in. The room we held our meetings in has full windows on both sides that let in the light and beauty of the area. This added to the uplifting feeling of our subjects of discussion. It was inspiring to be there.

My yoga and hiking retreat with Inspiration Iceland exceeded all my expectations. Andreas and Ulrica are enthusiastic, warm, and welcoming hosts who ensured no detail was overlooked during my 6 day stay in Akureyri. The morning yoga sessions were a beautiful way to start each day and the afternoon hikes were challenging enough but very enjoyable and well-paced. We were often taken to less touristy places to have magical experiences with unforgettable Icelandic nature. A delicious dinner or lunch was provided each day with excellent vegan/vegetarian options and we were taken to a grocery store when we first arrived to pick up breakfast food for the week. The apartments with full kitchen and dining room were very comfortable and just a few minutes walk from the city centre. Highly recommended retreat with wonderful hosts!

Had the amazing experience of dog sledding in Iceland with Inspiration Iceland. It was one of the worst weather days and yet they made sure we all had a fabulous experience! The couple who owns the company, were professional and very safety conscious of their dogs and the people trying dog sledding for the first time. It was an experience like no other I have had traveling. I highly recommend this company for anyone in the area of Akureyri, Iceland. Can not say enough about Andreas and Katy and their wonderful huskies!

This was a great experience. The dogs were well kept and well trained for this type of activity. They were very friendly and well behaved. The dogs are clearly loved. Andreas might be the friendliest guided in all of North Iceland and he speaks 6 languages! I would have liked to have gone for longer distances and more time. However, I can see how this is dependent on the dog's abilities and safety. The location was clear, flat, free of obstacles and in a very very majestic open valley. The views were Beautiful! The instructions were clear and comprehensive. The guide was nearby for safety but far enough to have a very independent engaging experience with the dogs, nature, and Iceland. Highly Recommend. Thank You, Andreas!

What can I say? This was the most amazing experience ever. With Andreas, Katy and their fabulous canine team you quickly realise you are in the hands of real professionals. The instruction is clear detailed and thorough, the venue was breathtaking, the dogs so happy and well cared for and just raring to go. The team were great - a real sense of humour, motivating and by the way fluent in seven or more languages between them. To drive the dogs 4km was an absolute privilege. Please consider putting on a week long boot camp as I would be back like a shot. I loved every second including the ones in the snowdrift, Thank you both for a fabulous experience.

The organization and preparation of this experience is really great. You can tell the dogs and the owners really love what they do and try to make it a great experience. However, I was a little disappointed about this being advertised as a three hour tour and then only being on the sled for about 20-30 minutes. We had to drive there and then learn how to operate the sled, but then I would have hoped the rest of the time could have been spent on the sled. It is a lot of money to pay to only get to participate for a short bit of time. I understand the dogs could get tired and there are other people on the tour, but just realize you will spend quite a bit of time in the car watching others if this is something you are looking to do.

Our final activity today was the compliment to our 6 day explore Iceland tour. We spent time and effort with adjustment to tour date to ensure we could incorporate this once in a lifetime experience. Andreas and Katarina were determined to ensure that it would not be forgotten. A review later on by us clearly gave this the winners trophy, never would you expect to drive your own sled team for kilometres. Thank you guys you made our holiday

Over all I found the equipment dated and of low quality. When spending large amounts on experiences I expect a lot. I have trained sled dogs and been part of a sled dog team in Norway for many years. I found the dogs here were not trained properly or to a professional standard. The experience itself was ok but very short and not worth the money it cost.

Dear Husky Lovers and future customers, We are offering a Husky dogsledding experience that is based on fair training methods (for instance we are not forcing the Huskies to poo whilst running), an experience where humans and Huskies are in a harmonious contact. Professional for us is when each husky in their true nature is put in the first place and their talents are strenghtened. Treating Huskies respectfully does not lead to low performance, on the opposite, they thrive, because Love and Recognition is their and our way. And they win races. For other people professional is a great outlook on the surface, great racing, but behind are forced methods of training, huskies being chained, living in a industrial mass enviorment. May be the equipment is fancy (ours is great) – but the reality is sad. Professional here means when the human ego is enforced on huskies for a cool outlook. That is not us. All of our sensitive customers can feel that our huskies are joyful, they live free in kennels, in a family enviorment. It is transparent and everyone can experience this enviorment. We admittedly having strong doubts about the purity of intention of this review. We have not seen any professional musher/dog handler on our tours nor have we experienced the ethics that professional dog handlers/mushers incorporate, which is a burning interest for the wellbeing of the Husky breed and the exchange of ideas. So welcome to a magnificent spring mushing experience...

We had the most amazing time! This was our 3rd time booking a tour with Andres and his team, the first was an amazing midnight sun tour which we highly recommend and the 2nd was dog sledding last year! Our dog sledding adventure was incredible. Amazing guides, incredible dogs and just the most fun. Add on the sauna and spa after your tour to relax among the beauty of Akureyri

Thanks for your words. We put our heart into all we do and it seems to resonate. Yesterday we had a perfect dogsledding experience with the real husky weather minus 17 degree celsius and sunshine. It was epic. And speedy run. I would like as well to express my gratitude to our returning clients, it means a lot to me to meet guests again and again. In that sense, until next time!
