I think this is the most interesting place in the area. "museum" is meh and not worth the price, but scenery and short walks around are amazing.

When we visited Langinkoski in July we were lucky (!) that it has been rainy days before our visit and the rapid or river was full of water! It was really nice scenery. This short briefing after buying tickets to Imperial Cottage of Russian Csar Alexander was pretty useful and demonstrative. This cottage was built by Finnish carpenters. It has... More

This is probably the best known tourist attraction in Kotka. It is a massive fishing lodge built by the czar Alexander III roughly 100 years ago. It is a nicer place when there is plenty of water in yhe river, which the case usually. A bit of walking but very and well maintained paths. There is also a park around... More

The fishing lodge is situated amidst breathtakingly beautiful nature: forest, white rapids... The imperial fishing lodge itself is a beautiful wooden building - with associated buildings such as a chapel and a warden' lodgings, all very charming. You can take a walk on the grounds, enjoy the amazing nature, sit down for a coffee (there are two cafes) - and... More

The area itself is not too large but all the buildings and the Kymi-river... Breathtaking.. Unfortunately open only in the summer...

I wouldnt call it a museum, its just wooden house to see, but its amazing what people can do from wood. And the nature outside the house is worth the stop!

Just liked this place, the traditional wooden house with original interieur and the beautiful natures with its rapids around. Don't miss to eat some cake in the lovely Café Keisarinnajan kahvila at the parking lot!

This is an easy pit stop if you're driving past. The old fishing lodge belonging to a tsar still stands and for an overpriced €6 you can have a look inside. If recommend just sitting on one of the benches by it and watching the fast-flowing rapids instead!

There are only few imperial era sights in Finland. Langinkoski is really worth to see. Helpful staff. There are renovation ongoing on outdoors. That's really good. There is also cafe near the area. Route is slightly complicated, use navigators to find P area.

This is such a beautiful place and an essential part of Finnish history. I highly recommend making.a day trip to Kotka, visiting Langonkoski and enjoying a seafood lunch at one of the local fish restaurants
