The university is at the Senate square. On your left side when you are in the square facing the cathedral. Its entrance is from the back dide though. It has a big library and a cafeteria.

This is one of the best 100 universities in the world. It is a great place to visit because the buildings tell so many stories. The art works inside the main building are simply amazing.

Very clean and good university. It's located outside the city so from Kampi you have to take the metro and then the tram!

Interesting architecture. Great meeting facilities. The university area is a nice place to stroll with a wide range of shops and reasonably-priced restaurants.

My husband attended a Congress in this building for a few days. There are a beautiful staircase, and climbing from one floor to the next, there are beautiful statues on each level, worthwile climbing the stairs. I usually sat down on the steps outside for a short while, waiting for him,people-watching,looking at the other buildings surrounding the plaza, while resting for a while after my... More

Some buildings are well kept and worth seeing if you are around the Senat Square. The main library (Kaisatalo) is very nice so have a look at the design inside!

There are some nice old buildings around Senaatintori. There are also nice library and small cafe. If you do not have anything else to do visit there.

Archival photos exist of this building being bombed as well as obviously the surrounding buildings in the city centre. amazing and through sheer determination the Finns rebuilt this amazing structure, as a student i was lucky enough to walk the hallowed halls, and I am not sure if its open for everyone to walk inside but even if you just... Well, what do i say, it is a University, though some of the buildings are very well kept. spread out over the city center, but concentrated on the area North of Alexanterinkatu and Senatintori. Library is getting renovated at the moment.
