Good write up if the history of trams in Helsinki in Finnish, Swedish and English - and a number of different trams through the ages - some of which it is possible to sit in.

I went to check this place with my two kids (2 and 5 year old). They were excited. There were several trams you could go into and pretend to be a ticket seller or a driver. This is small museum but still lot to see...More

Despite being called a tram museum, it's more of an events venue with some trams around the edge of the hall. The examples there are are indeed well preserved and interesting enough, but it's just a shame that more hasn't been made of the museum....More

This a really a xonference centre with a few old trams in it. There's nothing to see in this 'museum'. I have been here only for conferences. I do not see this a museum. Entrance is free of change.

Interesting place, shows the history of trams in Helsinki, from several different eras with lots of interesting objects with stories of the people who worked on the trams, as well as the trams themselves, which you can clamber on. It's free and we had a...More

Housed in former tram premises annexed to a newer working tram depot in a north-central suburb, I thought this place a disappointment. The tram component is part of a larger arts centre, one would hardly know there were a few trams inside. Completely contradictory opening/closed...More

Visited the museum with a six-year-old tram fan, and we both liked it. It is small, but you are allowed to go onboard the old trams and even "drive" on of them yourself. And it is for free.

This small free museum has the history (in Finnish and English) of the Helsinki tram system. They have three or four historic trams on display that you can climb around on. It was wonderful for my 3 year old.
