You can just imagine how many people and how many stones this church is made of. So beautiful, so breathtaking and so reminding of our history. So proud it's just standing there and let us know it's the greatest of all.

This is an interesting-looking church. But it is a very long walk from city center and the rest of the attractions.

Kallio Church has a very solid look to it with its Art Nouveau design. The bell tower is huge with a green dome in front of it. Inside is beautiful too but keep in mind it is in the fairly spartan in the Lutheran tradition. It is much simpler inside than the Helsinki Cathedral. An interesting feature is the curved... More

Lars Sonck designed church is built in the early 1900's. Beautiful jugend interior and impressive shape over Kallio cityscape.

The great thing about Helsinki churches is that they are each so unique. The area behind the altar is currently under construction, but the church was lovely nonetheless.

If you see the church from south, it looks like dominating the whole town. From pitkäsilta or kaisaniemi it looks like Batman would live there. Inside the church is calm and lutheran. A nice place to visit and listen to good concerts.

This church is a short walk from the open air market, but a million miles away from noise and mammon. I burned a candle from my old, late friend who came to Australia aboard the last clipper to bring cargo to Sydney Harbour. This is a wonderful, tranquil place to sit and consider Finland's rich culture, wonderful people and special... More

A very tall church set up on a hill. Nice architecture. Looks like it's well kept and maintained. Worth a look if you're in the area
