We had a blast here when visiting with kids in August 2016! There's a kids museum where children can play school in 18/19th century Helsinki, or shopkeeper, shoemaker etc dressing up as people did centuries ago. There's also a flat from the 70's which is called "granny's" :-) Awesome! We also had a chance to see an exhibition of Helsinki... More

A very nice museum and home. Lots of good information and history of the area and the people. The home is well kept and looks great.

Museum has been just opened after renovation and it's great place to spend few hours with kids. There isn't entrance fee and kids are aloud to play with everything they cross with, dress up, puppet show, little store, shoe making, loading a boat, driving horse cart, play with huge dollhouse, play school with proper old fashion school tables, visit 70's... It's free, you just walk in and start exploring. Children are even able to play on a mini-stage - either make a puppet-show, or dress up in the costumes of... More

This museum is clearly meant for younger kids (<10 years) and for that audience it is nice. You can spent there easily couple of hours and as there is no admission fee it is just brilliant place if you need some activity for kids during the day. There are activity that kids can do as well some "do not touch"... More
