You can only go round the house as part of a tour but this delivers excellent results. The history of Mannerheim, his life, his achievements and his family background is fascinating. It is enhanced by the fact that the guides speak perfect English and also...More

A perfect introduction to FInalnd's history. We had a very helpful guide, who gave us a very thoughtful tour of Finland's history thorugh the life and works of M. Mannerheim. Totally unknown to me before, but absolutely wortwhile knowing!

We did not find it too easy to find this house but so worthwhile visiting. Love him or otherwise, the highly professional tour gave you an intimate view of Mannerheim's life, travels and character.

As Mikko said, about 10 mins from the terminal. I clearly walk slower than he does :) It is uphill. Take your map, there is no significant signposting!
