Reminds me of old movies set in Scandinavian countries

Out of a movie with some of the boats but quite small. Even thought it's small it's still interesting to look at some of the boats. Always a little treat!

If you drop by Finland, Helsinki, just go to the place. It's awesome in the summer and always crowded with tourists. Sometimes there are some attractions and amusements there. Take a picture, grab a snack and it's done !

A GREAT place for a stroll! We were there in January and all the Christmas decorations were still up! NOT your tatty tinsel....but elegant tree lights and the odd lit up reindeer....VERY elegantly done! It's very much a central place from which one can visit the shops or the many other attractions Helsinki has to offer...including the interesting Waterfront area!... More

We walked along the Esplanadi every day of our visit to Helsinki, and the view of the Grand Historic building took us back in time!

In my view the Esplanade Boulevard in the centre of Helsinki is the heart of the Helsinki summer. The Eastern end of the Boulevard the boulevard is by the Helsinki Market Square. After the market square, you will walk by the Havis Amanda ("The beloved by the sea") statue. After that you will be in front of the "Kappeli" (Chapel)... More

It's freezing cold in winter. I went there is early morning, not a lot of stores opened in the market and the sky was so grey. I would recommend to come in summer.

Esplanadi Park is the Spot where the Hel city people sit on the benches on the warm summer days, having their ice creams, hang out on the crass with their beer bottles and zoom other people. It is one of the places where every local Hel people has to go every summer. It means that Summer is here. Esplanadi stage... More

Visited in January on a very dull day. The lights were very cheering and worth a visit if you are passing.
