We caught the Viking line between Tallinn and Helsinki, and it provides a good ferry service between the two cities. However, it isn't really a cruise despite the name here on tripadvisor. I would highly recommend booking the sea breakfast buffet during the booking process....More

Viking line offers great cruises. Cabins are clean, entertainment on board is decent. Tax-free shop is big and with lots of variety from clothes to drinks. Just be aware that you can experience many drunk people on board, partying in the cabins.

A fine way to get to Tallinn from Helsinki, convenient, comfy and with a good duty free store. After spending the day in a lively, ancient Tallinn and wanting more, we wished we had booked a room there--an option for many. Viking runs at many...More

First, the experience once you enter the building is extremely confusing, with very little signage and no staff to ask questions. We retrieved our tickets and headed to the second floor, but confusing signage as to which way to go. There were people passing thru...More

The cruise itself is beautiful , I mean I am a viking line club member. I have traveled across the world in the cheapest ways as well as expensive . But the people working over there are horrible. Especially the security personal. They are racist...More

The overall trip from Helsinki to Tallinn and return on Viking went very well. Online booking was easy, the cruise terminal was well organized. Check-in was simple, and the trip was smooth and uneventful. I paid extra for club access in one direction. This provided...More

Booking a one way trip, what is the best option to store luggage? If I book a cabin, can I store my luggage safely whilst taking time out to explore the ferry?

Are you travelling to Tallin or to Stockholm? When to Stockholm you actually book a cabin. When to Tallin there are lockers or a luggage room. For lockers reserve 1,2 euro coins. Both options are safe.
Viking line Tallinn to Helsinki day trip in November - I just wanted to ask are you able to go onto deck in November to see the Finland islands at all? Is the crossing likely to be choppy in November? Also are you close to the main sites of Helsinki from where you dock? Thank you!

If you wanna see some islands the best option is TURKU-STOCKHOLM. The ferry goes through a lot of small and nice islands...absolutely amazing.
