Visited on our Helsinki hop on bus trip. A beautiful serene place to visit. Highly recommend but check for opening times. We were lucky as towards the end of our visit Church closed for a christening. Well worth a trip.

This was a lovely city to walk around and we managed to walk to this. You wonder how and why there is this church in this exact place and then you look around in amazement

I suppose tour organizers are struggling to make a worthwhile memorable collection of sights to remember but the Rock Church while unique for its own characteristics is not really majestic or impressive. You can see for yourselves at minute 00:21 of my short video entitled...More

This church was made out of large boulders & was quite beautiful inside. Very peaceful. Only 3 euros to get in. Well worth a visit.

This church is one of a kind. Attractive cement walls supporting a dome covered with copper. Acoustics are great. Lighting through narrow slots just below dome is also very attractive.

This place is pretty amazing. Cut into a rock outcropping on the top of a hill. It's a little out of the way, but well worth the journey

If it was free, worth a quick (5 minute) visit. Long queues to see a clever but not inspired bit of construction overrun with Chinese/Japanese tourists desperate to be photographed. A good cathedral beats it hands down.

During our Baltic cruise, with a daytime stop in Helsinki, we visited three churches, this one bring the newest and most unique. Definitely worth a visit.

Fair question! Official Helsinki web page gives following answer: "Closed during church ceremonies and events." I would recommend to contact tourist office to get detailed information. Good luck
