We went late in the day and were met my atmospheric music which gave the environment a reflective air despite the tourists taking photos here there and everywhere. We did the same, but also sat and soaked up the feel of the church.

It was impossible to get in. Too many Chinese tourist, and a totally chaos outside. But I have been there before, and the church is amazing.

With not much to see in Helsinki this church is really the climax of our tour of Helsinki. The amazing roof structure and the understanding that this structure was hewn from a huge rock simply amazes and makes this a worthwhile visit.

It is a small church, but the architecture is amazing. Although it charged 3 Euro for entrence, it is worth it.

Generally church services in Finland are down to earth and open for everyone. Therefore just open the door and sit in the bench.

It is a church do best to check website as it may be closed to tourists for weddings baptism or religious services
