This bridge stretches across the lake. Its nice to look at and its also very functional. You can cross on foot, by bike or car. Close to the bridge there is a really lovely sandy beach.

The bridge was built in 1989. It spans 320 meters across the Kemijoki river. It is the first cable-stayed road bridge in Finland. The bridge is a memorial to the times of timber floating and to the lumberjacks. On the top of the two columns...More

We could see this bridge from our hotel from city centre. It's pretty to look at in the evening, and a little fancy as far as the average bridge but it's bridge.

I'm not a huge fan of cold and snow...I prefer white sandy beaches! But Lapland in the winter is stunning! Lots to see and do! The only thing that would have topped off the trip, was to see the northern lights...but we had too many...More

From our hotel at Rovaniemi city centre, we took a stroll to the bank of a river to catch a glimpse of the Bridge. At the opposite bank of the river, we could see facility for winter swimming. Good photo site.

Sorry to disappoint, but for me, it's just a bridge. Ive read about all the historical meaning and etc, but really, there's nothing special about it's design nor location. I crossed it, then I got in the margins of the river to see it from...More

This is the 1st thing you see when going to Rovaniemi. It's an iconic bridge, and the one that leads you to the river for the dive on wednesdays ^^

You cant miss this bridge. It appeared right above us in each of our safaris. During the cold season, the river under this bridge is used for cross country, ski mobile rides etc. Its an impressive bridge.
